This is a lock nut for bearings that is suitable for counter-rotation from high-speed rotation and for preventing loosening due to rapid acceleration and sudden stops. It can also contribute to improving rotational balance.
The "FINE U-NUT" is a bearing lock nut that eliminates the need for traditional keyway machining of shafts and the installation of toothed washers. 【Installation Procedure】 ■ Step 1 - Pass the bearing through the shaft. - Confirm that the tip of the threaded part of the shaft has been chamfered (equivalent to 1 pitch) before applying lubricant. ■ Step 2 - Manually screw in until the friction ring contacts the threads of the shaft. ■ Step 3 - Use the dedicated tightening tool for the FINE U-NUT. (It can also be installed with a hook wrench.) ■ Step 4 - Hold the shaft part of the ratchet handle and gently turn to tighten. ■ Step 5 - Check if the inner ring of the bearing is in close contact with the seating surface of the FINE U-NUT, and whether the threaded part of the shaft extends more than 2 pitches from the friction ring. - When removing, unscrew with the tightening tool until the friction ring is free from the threads of the shaft.
