[Pokayoke Example] Prevention of Marking Omission in Multi-Variety Production Processes
Modified the hardware to allow selection of marking frequency for up to 26 different vehicle models.
This is an introduction to a case study on tool development for preventing work omissions (Poka-Yoke) through IoT using industry-leading electric tools. A construction machinery manufacturer expressed the need for a solution due to forgetting to mark with a pen on the completed vehicle assembly line for various medium-sized vehicles. They considered introducing the Check Pen S and the Simple Poka-Yoke Counter TW-800R-SCL. However, since the TW-800R-SCL could only accommodate up to 8 types of vehicles, they requested a solution that could handle more vehicle types, which we successfully implemented. [Details] - The Check Pen S was adapted to use CP-02S to match the customer's pen. - Modifications were made to the TW-800R-SCL to allow for changing the marking count for each vehicle type. - Hardware modifications were made to connect the TW-WS-02, an optional item for the TW-800R-SC, to the TW-800R-SCL. - Hardware modifications were made to allow the TW-WS-02 to select from up to 26 types of work (vehicle types). - Software modifications were made to the TW-800R-SCL to allow for selecting from up to 26 types of work. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
