We have obtained SBT certification for small and medium-sized enterprises.
We are pleased to announce that our company has obtained "SBT Certification for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" from the international climate change initiative SBTi. We have set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 50% by 2030 compared to the fiscal year 2018. We are actively working towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve net zero. *What is SBT? SBT refers to greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by companies that are aligned with the levels required by the Paris Agreement. SBT requires the reduction of supply chain emissions (which include not only the emissions from the company itself but also the total emissions related to its business activities). Supply chain emissions = Scope 1 emissions + Scope 2 emissions + Scope 3 emissions Scope 1: Direct emissions of greenhouse gases from the company itself Scope 2: Indirect emissions associated with the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies Scope 3: Emissions across the entire supply chain related to the company's activities As of September 2024, a total of 9,545 companies, including ours, are registered with the Science Based Targets initiative.
