For evaluating the bitterness of pharmaceuticals! Taste recognition device TS-6000A

Quantifying the bitterness of pharmaceuticals!

The taste recognition device TS-6000A has the same mechanism as the human tongue and can quantify the "taste" of various foods, pharmaceuticals, and more. Additionally, it is possible to easily obtain analysis results through a comprehensive analysis application. As a support tool for sensory testing, it demonstrates its power in any situation where objective evaluation of "taste" is needed, such as product development, marketing, and sales.

Applications/Examples of results

The taste sensor evaluates flavor in two types: the initial taste "first taste" that occurs the moment food is in the mouth, and the lingering taste "aftertaste" that remains after swallowing the food. Using the potential of the reference solution* as zero, the potential difference with the sample solution is measured as the first taste. The sensor is then lightly cleaned, and the potential difference measured again with the reference solution is recorded as the aftertaste.
