Centella Asiatica Cosmelean contains triterpenes such as asiaticoside and madecassoside, and is a standardized product. It activates collagen synthesis by fibroblasts and maintains the structure and function of the skin. Triterpenes (asiaticoside and madecassoside) exhibit nutritional and regulatory effects on connective tissue, particularly enriching and regulating fibroblasts and glycosaminoglycans. They promote the synthesis of collagen I and III, enhance keratinization, and accelerate the healing process. In vitro studies have reported that asiaticoside and madecassoside improve the secretion of collagen I, while madecassoside promotes the synthesis of collagen III.
