The SafeCell series is made of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and meets the demands of in vitro cell culture. FEP is chemically and biologically inert, making it perfectly suitable for cell suspension culture. Its anti-adhesion properties allow cells to freely float and proliferate in the medium. SafeCell bags are permeable to gases (oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen), enabling the necessary exchanges for proper cell development, while also possessing another important characteristic: water impermeability. The low evaporation rate of SafeCell bags prevents issues even in humid incubators that increase the risk of bacterial and microbial growth.

The SafeCell bag is sterilized and protected with a removable overpack. FEP has high transparency, allowing for safe and easy microscopic observation of cells. The FEP double connector is directly welded to the bag, and its special shape limits the risk of leakage. The tube is equipped with a sterilizable weldable tube (SCD), unnecessary injection sites, and a lure lock. This sealed system ensures airtightness against microorganisms during the filling, culturing, and emptying of the bag. Finally, traceability is ensured by the laser-marked batch number and bag unit identification. The SafeCell bag is produced in an ISO7 clean room in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and is delivered with a certificate of compliance.
