Development of LED Display Unit [Embedded System Development Case Study]

Various flicker control options available! A case study proposing LED control using a PIC microcontroller.

We would like to introduce a case of developing an LED display section for a manufacturer of inspection equipment. The company was facing difficulties because the LED driver IC mounted on the LED control board of their existing product became unavailable, and they requested a proposal for a successor model. In response, we proposed LED control using a PIC microcontroller. We developed the design for the LED driver peripheral circuit and the microcontroller firmware, and delivered a prototype in the form of a universal board. We are currently also proposing for the request to create a printed circuit board. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Request - Since the LED driver IC has become unavailable, they wanted a proposal for a successor model. ■ Proposal: LED control using a PIC microcontroller ■ Effects - By using microcontroller control, various blinking controls for the LED become possible. - It can also incorporate control of peripheral devices, thus improving versatility. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
