Failure Prediction of Large-Scale Equipment [Case Study of Measurement System Development]
Predicting infrastructure equipment failures! A case study of requests for a low-cost system without using conventional expensive measuring instruments.
We would like to introduce a case where we proposed the development of a failure prediction system for large equipment to an infrastructure-related manufacturer. The company expressed a desire to develop an inexpensive system that could record vibration measurement data using low-cost MEMS sensors for predicting failures in infrastructure equipment and collect information via public lines. We proposed a system that converts the analog signals obtained from the MEMS sensors into digital signals using a commercially available CPU board, records the digital signals onto a microSD card on an embedded board, and then sends the measurement data to a specified email address via a USB dongle compatible with 3G lines. 【Case Overview】 ■Request: To develop an inexpensive system that can collect information ■Proposal: A system that sends measurement data to a specified email address via a USB dongle compatible with 3G lines *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
