Insulation test nano-pulse generator
This power supply generates ultra-fast pulses with a rise time of less than 100 ns by utilizing high-voltage SiC switches.
From the lifespan tests of twisted pairs, it can be utilized for various applications such as electrical stress tests for insulators, semiconductors, and conductors.
basic information
Nexfy's pulse generator can be divided into continuous operation types that operate at 10 kHz or higher, and intermittent operation types that operate at 1 kpps (1,000 pulses per second) or lower. The continuous operation type can perform lifespan tests on twisted pairs compliant with IEC standards, as well as continuous high-voltage application tests on ceramics and insulators. It is capable of continuous operation at ±3 kV and 100 kHz, allowing for high-repetition lifespan tests on twisted pairs, and it is designed in a compact tabletop size that reduces power consumption. Additionally, the high-speed rise model at 10 kV and 10 kHz can rise to about 50 ns at 10 kV. The intermittent operation type can reduce the energy required, enabling high-current operation that is difficult with the continuous operation type, as well as the generation of ultra-fast pulses with a pulse width of less than 1 μs. It can output ultra-fast pulses of ±5 kV and 200 ns, and it is also capable of outputting current peaks exceeding 2 kA.
