DM4140 is a low-alloy steel based on iron with added chromium, molybdenum, and manganese, equivalent to AISI4140 material. It was developed in response to requests from the automotive industry. DM4140 has high strength, high hardenability, and high toughness, with minimal dimensional changes after heat treatment, resulting in excellent dimensional accuracy. DM4140 is widely expected to be used as high-strength components such as gears, connecting rods, fastening elements (bolts and nuts), couplings, and shafts in automobiles and machinery. DM4140 compliance standards: ISO22068 (2014); MPIF #35 (2018); AISI4140; 42CrMo4; 1.7225; SS2244 DM 4140 specifications (after sintering) --------------------- Tensile strength: 880 MPa Yield strength: 640 MPa Elongation: 6% HRB: 95 Relative density: 96% DM 4140 specifications (after heat treatment) --------------------- Tensile strength: 1600 MPa Yield strength: 1400 MPa Elongation: 3% HRC: 47 Relative density: 96%
