Igus has developed the energy chain damage detection system "i.Sense EC.B" equipped with a new resin wire sensor. This system monitors the condition of energy chains longer than 35 meters, which previously required two sensors, using just one sensor. It ensures safe cable guidance even in harsh outdoor applications with large cranes and long strokes. Real-time condition data is collected across the entire running unit, helping to avoid unexpected machine stoppages and costs.
