[Processing Examples of Difficult-to-Cut Materials] High-Precision Processing of Brass

High-precision block of brass (C3602)! Three processes: rough machining, grinding, and finishing.

We would like to introduce a case study of "high-precision machining of brass" conducted at Aitec Co., Ltd. Tolerance holes and positioning key grooves are applied to each face, with requirements for flatness, parallelism, and verticality of the six faces within 0.01mm, and positional tolerance of each tolerance hole and groove within 0.03mm. For the flatness, parallelism, and verticality of the six faces, we were able to finish each face one by one using a surface grinder with a grinding wheel suitable for soft materials, while regularly checking for clogging, ensuring that we stayed within tolerance. [Case Overview] ■ Material: Brass (C3602) ■ Machined Product: High-precision block ■ Machining Details - Rough machining (5-axis machining center) - Grinding (surface grinder) - Finishing (5-axis machining center) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Our company develops two main businesses: the "Equipment Business," which handles everything from the design and manufacturing of specialized machines and equipment to installation and adjustment, and the "Parts Processing Business," which is responsible for the machining and production of mechanical components. The Equipment Business has a proven track record of designing and manufacturing equipment for various industries, including automotive, semiconductor, and pharmaceuticals. In recent years, we began operating a clean room (U.S. Federal Standard Class 100 and Class 1000) starting in May 2020. In the Parts Processing Business, we have a variety of processing equipment in-house and a network of over 200 partner factories, allowing us to produce a wide range of processed products. We can also handle procurement for items such as heat treatment, surface treatment, and units.
