FB6903 is necessary to protect products from backflow. The valve remains open due to the forward flow of fluid. If the flow is interrupted, the plug is pressed against the seat by a spring, closing the valve due to backflow. This valve is used in many sanitary applications and is a 3A certified product in accordance with the 58-01 standard.

FB6C operates by sensing the pressure on the underside of the diaphragm on the downstream side of the seat. When the downstream pressure approaches the set pressure, the force exerted on the diaphragm overcomes the force of the setting spring, causing the plug to begin moving upward to close. This reduces the downstream pressure and maintains the set pressure. When the pressure on the underside of the diaphragm begins to drop, the spring force pushes the plug downward to open it, maintaining the set pressure.

FB5C operates by sensing the pressure or back pressure of the fluid supplied to the underside of the diaphragm from the side-mounted inlet. Back pressure above the set pressure compresses the spring through the load force of the diaphragm, causing the stem to function in an open state from the seat. As the flow increases and the back pressure is discharged, the forces from the spring and diaphragm are relieved, allowing the stem to return to its normally closed position. Changing the set pressure can be done simply by turning the adjustment screw to increase or decrease pressure within the range of the regulator spring settings.

a) The material used is 316L stainless steel, and the inner surface of the wetted part is mechanically polished and then electropolished to a finish of 20Ra (0.5μ). b) The elastomer material used complies with FDA/USP standards, and the closure characteristics are standard ANSI Class III, but can be changed to Class IV upon request. c) There are no sliding parts in the wetted area, and the structure without liquid pockets enhances CIP/SIP treatment and stabilizes the operation of sanitary processes. d) The pipe diameter ranges from 1/2" to 3", and the connection standards can include Tri-Clamp, ISO, and DIN, or can be tailored to customer requirements.
