The body and all wetted parts of the MK978 stainless steel control valve are made of ASTM A479-316L bar stock. The product is sealed at the stem by a Jorlon diaphragm that is FDA approved and USP Class VI certified, and comes with a lifetime warranty. The valve stem has sufficient structural strength in any mounting orientation due to two long PEEK guide bushings and an integrated stainless steel NAMUR yoke. The sliding parts of the valve stem and plug are located outside the diaphragm wetted area at the top of the valve. This product features a secondary stem seal and provides additional retention through extended guide bushings, ensuring self-drainage regardless of the mounting orientation. FB6903 is necessary to protect products from backflow. The valve remains open due to the forward flow of fluid. If the flow is interrupted, the plug is pressed against the seat by a spring, closing the valve due to backflow. a) The material used is 316L stainless steel, and the inner surface of the wetted part is mechanically polished and then electropolished to a finish of 20Ra (0.5μ). b) The elastomer material used complies with FDA/USP standards, and the closure characteristics are standard ANSI Class III, but can be changed to Class IV upon request. c) There are no sliding parts in the wetted area, and the structure without liquid pockets enhances CIP/SIP treatment and stabilizes the operation of sanitary processes. d) The pipe diameter ranges from 1/2" to 3", and the connection standards can include Tri-Clamp, ISO, and DIN, or can be tailored to customer requirements.

The 708 series is a control valve specifically designed for small flow control. It offers 19 ranges from a minimum Cv of 0.00001 to a maximum of 4.0.

As a structural feature of the 708 series, the free-floating plug moves to always position itself at the center of the seat orifice, resulting in improved control and shut-off capability. The seat is modular, making it easy to replace, and does not require any special fitting work during replacement. Additionally, the valve body is bolted to the bonnet, allowing for disassembly without removing the valve body from the piping, making seat replacement extremely easy. This seat replacement does not require any special tools, only a socket wrench is used.
