No red rust issues even after 54 years of air conditioning chilled and hot water piping with the 'NMR Pipe Protector' - NMRPT.
日本システム企画 東京本社
The "Teigeki Building" in Marunouchi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo (54 years old as of 2020) had galvanized steel pipes used for air conditioning chilled and hot water piping that experienced some leakage due to red rust 20 years ago in Heisei 12, when the building was 34 years old. To prevent red rust deterioration, NMR pipe protectors were installed. Since then, there have been no new leaks, and as of 2020, despite being 54 years old, there are no issues with red rust, and the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping no longer needs to be updated. Currently, there are still no problems with red rust deterioration, and the system is in use. The results of the introduction of the NMR pipe protector in the Teigeki Building were featured in an article in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry magazine "Kuchou Times" in the January 1, 2019 issue.
