No red rust issues with air conditioning chilled water and cooling water pipes after 55 years using the 'NMR Pipe Protector' - NMRPT.

The "Yaesu Exit Hall" in Marunouchi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo (built 55 years ago as of 2020) had an NMR pipe protector installed in its air conditioning chilled and hot water piping and cooling water piping five years ago in 2015, when it was 50 years old. We conducted verification to prevent red rust deterioration in the cooling water piping and to extend the life of the piping. Before the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the iron content in the circulating cooling water was 11 mg/l, significantly exceeding the industrial standard of 1 mg/l, confirming the occurrence of red rust. One week after the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the iron content in the same water dropped to less than 0.1 mg/l, significantly reducing it and completely preventing red rust in the piping, while confirming the transformation of red rust to black rust. For the past five years since then, the occurrence of red rust has been completely prevented.
