The Royal Bank of Scotland, a representative megabank of the UK, has introduced the NMR Pipe Protector and achieved significant cost reductions. The Royal Bank of Scotland, headquartered in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, was established in 1722 by a charter from King George I. In 1985, it founded an automobile insurance company and was the first in the UK to launch a telephone insurance sales system. In 1997, it also became the first in the UK to start internet online services. Throughout its long history, it has acquired and merged with over 200 banks while being a pioneering bank that has led the times with innovative ideas. In 2000, it successfully acquired NatWest, one of the four major banks in the UK, becoming a representative bank of the UK in both name and reality. The Royal Bank of Scotland announced in late 2020 that it would change its name to "NatWest," marking the beginning of a new chapter in its history. This concludes our introduction to the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a representative megabank of the UK. In the next installment, we will discuss the pipe rust issue that the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) faced and the background behind the introduction of the NMR Pipe Protector.
