The Royal Bank of Scotland, as one of the leading financial institutions in the UK, owns numerous buildings and has announced a management policy that emphasizes environmental considerations in their maintenance, achieving the world's first chemical-free maintenance. The 250th branch, located in the northeast area of London, Bishopsgate, features a mix of heavy historical buildings and modern structures, and is also noted as a trendsetting location for fashion and art. The 250th branch has a modern stylish exterior in dark gray, but after 18 years since its construction, it faced issues with red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping. The Royal Bank of Scotland had been using rust inhibitors as a countermeasure against red rust, but these inhibitors were costly and, considering environmental concerns, they installed NMR Pipe Protectors in the hot water piping of the 250th branch in March 2018. At that time, the hot water inside the piping was already brown and murky. This concludes the background on why the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a representative megabank in the UK, decided to introduce NMR Pipe Protectors. Next time, I will talk about the performance of the NMR Pipe Protectors introduced at RBS.
