NMR Pipe Protector - NMRPT - with Proven Anti-Corrosion Effect

日本システム企画 東京本社
Over the past 30 years, magnetic devices claiming to prevent rust in piping have been sold by more than 150 companies. However, there is not a single product whose rust prevention effect has been scientifically proven. Currently, methods considered for rust prevention in piping, such as sacrificial anode cathodic protection and electrode methods, are only capable of providing partial rust prevention effects and cannot be expected to work on the entire piping system. The resins used in epoxy lining methods for water supply pipes contain bisphenols, which have raised concerns about their harmful effects on human health in the United States and Canada. Additionally, the application to elbow sections is uneven, leading to the reoccurrence of red rust, necessitating future piping replacement. The NMR Pipe Protector, a device for preventing red rust in piping, transforms red rust into black rust through reduction, thereby providing rust prevention and extending the lifespan of the piping. Unlike red rust, which is soluble in water, black rust becomes an insoluble, hard crystalline passivation, and the black rust coating formed by this transformation prevents the occurrence of new red rust. The volume of black rust is less than one-tenth that of red rust, and the transformation to black rust reduces blockages within the piping. This rust prevention principle has been presented in research papers by organizations such as the Japan Corrosion Control Association and the Asia-Pacific Corrosion Association.
