Chemical Substance Evaluation Research Organization "G-column" compatible with most GCs.

[Column for Gas Chromatography] Compatible with most gas chromatographs! Theoretical plate count of over 20,000! Capable of large sample injection!

The "G-column" is a gas chromatography column with a Pyrex glass column that has an inner diameter of 1.2mm, chemically bonded with a liquid phase on its inner surface. Despite having the same hollow structure as a capillary column, it features a large diameter, providing unique characteristics not found in conventional packed columns or capillary columns. 【Features】 ■ Compatible with most gas chromatographs Columns can be selected based on the analysis purpose. Additionally, with a maximum length of 40m, it offers a higher theoretical plate count compared to packed columns, enabling high-resolution analysis. ■ Large sample injection The product excels in high-precision quantitative analysis, allowing for large sample injections that are difficult with capillary columns. Its large diameter facilitates significant sample injection, simplifying pre-treatment processes like sample concentration. Samples are smoothly introduced into the column, making it ideal for analyzing substances that are prone to thermal decomposition. ■ Chemically bonded liquid phase With minimal bleeding, the chemically bonded liquid phase inside the inert-treated column remains stable over long periods, exhibiting less variation in retention factors. It does not adsorb alcohols, acids, amines, etc., allowing for the analysis of many compounds using the same column. For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

basic information

**Features** Comparison with Packed Columns and Capillary Columns - While the theoretical plate number of packed columns is between 3000 and 5000, the G-column has over 20,000 plates. - Due to its larger column cross-sectional area compared to capillary columns, it allows for the injection of large sample volumes. **Injection Volume** - With a carrier gas flow rate of 10 to 20 mL/min, large injected samples are smoothly introduced into the column. - Direct injection of the entire sample is possible only with the G-column, which has an inner diameter of 1.2 mm. **Durability** - The liquid phase is uniformly chemically bonded, resulting in minimal bleeding and thermal stability. - It maintains initial performance for extended periods even under harsh conditions. - With a larger liquid phase volume compared to capillary columns, it is more resistant to contamination and degradation caused by samples.
