Kanto Chemical" complies with the official method standards for "reagents for fat testing.
Analytical reagents available for the standard fat analysis method and hygiene testing method. The catalog introduces the reagents used according to the testing methods!
The "reagents for fat testing" are used to analyze the lipids in food. After collecting food samples and performing appropriate treatments based on the characteristics of those samples, lipids are extracted using organic solvents, and the weight of the recovered extract is measured. Testing methods are described in standard fat analysis methods, hygiene testing methods, and notes. Our company provides reagents for the following tests. ◆ Ether extraction method Applicable to general foods, particularly those with relatively high lipid content, where lipids are less bound to tissue components and can be powdered or easily crushed when dried. ◆ Chloroform-methanol mixed solvent extraction method Applicable to foods containing polar lipids such as phospholipids, including soybeans and soybean products, as well as eggs. ◆ Iodine value (Wijs-cyclohexane method) The iodine value indicates the number of grams of iodine that can be added to 100g of fat. A higher value indicates a higher degree of unsaturation of fatty acids in the sample. 【Related Products】 ◆ Reagents for measuring acid value and peroxide value We provide potassium iodide for use in the peroxide value testing of fats under the Food Sanitation Act and JAS standards.
