For several years, we have been developing connectors compatible with crimped cables at KER. We have now developed a new 5.08mm pitch high-current connector, the "FTC Series." This connector is primarily designed for use in high-current applications, with the intention of being adopted in factories and power-related distribution panels. Announcement of the new release of the 5.0mm pitch IP67 compliant waterproof connector "FW Series" branching and relay type.
We are pleased to announce the release of the 5.0mm pitch IP67 compliant waterproof connector "FW Series" branching and relay type from KEL. The main feature of this series is that it achieves one of the smallest heights and lengths in the industry for waterproof connectors with a 5.0mm pitch. The newly released branching and relay type allows for efficient wiring inside the enclosure by branching the cables. It can be passed through a minimum diameter duct of φ32.6mm (for 4 poles), making it easy to check circuit systems in tight spaces. Additionally, the shape of the connector is designed for easy attachment to brackets or processed sheet metal, allowing for secure fastening with cable ties. The number of poles available is 2, 3, or 4, and the housing color can be chosen from two options: white and black. The color variations of white and black are intended for use in a wide range of markets, and when combined with the plug-side connector (FWP11, available in four colors: white, red, blue, and black), they enhance visibility during operation.

We are pleased to announce the expansion of the "FTC Series" connectors capable of crimping two 5.08mm cables. Following the traditional lineup of drawer type (FTC01) and lock type (FTC02), we will now release the cable extension type (FTC12 / plug side). In addition to the cable extension type, we have added variations for the board side connector in a light angle type (FTC11) and the cable side connector in lock type with 6-pole and 20-pole options. We plan to release a straight type for the board side connector in August. We are also developing variations with different pole counts beyond 6, 12, and 20 poles, as well as a low-cost type of crimp contact (with a gold plating thickness of 0.1μm), and will continue to expand our lineup. The "FTC series" is a connector for crimp cables with a pitch of 5.08mm. As part of our expansion of variations, we will be releasing a locking type (receptacle, cable-side connector, 12 poles). The newly released locking type features a locking mechanism on both sides of the connector, ensuring secure mating and ease of attachment and detachment. The plug side (board-side connector) is designed for the locking type, allowing it to be used in conjunction with the drawer type. In the future, we plan to gradually introduce additional variations, including a 20-pole version (samples available), a straight type for the board side, and a cable extension type, aiming to enhance the series to meet a wide range of customer needs.
