Embedded wireless LAN board compliant with IEEE 802.11n/a/b/g.
Embedded type wireless LAN board compliant with the wireless LAN standard specifications IEEE 802.11n/a/b/g.
This is an embedded wireless LAN board compliant with the wireless LAN standard specifications IEEE802.11n/a/b/g, supporting wide input power supply (5 - 30VDC) and power supply from LAN connectors. By simply connecting it to the LAN port (RJ-45 connector) of LAN-compatible devices with a LAN cable, you can turn those devices into wireless LAN-compatible devices with advanced security, stable communication, and excellent maintainability, independent of the OS or CPU. With mode switching, it can operate not only as a station (client) but also as an access point (parent) or repeater. It can be used as an access point or relay device. Additionally, there is a wide range of optional antennas available. Depending on the radio environment, it is also possible to extend an antenna outside the device. You can choose from our optional antennas according to your application. Furthermore, it supports power supply via an AC adapter (sold separately), DC power supply of 5-30VDC, or LAN connectors.
basic information
**Main Features** - Complies with four standards: IEEE802.11n/a (W52/W53/W56), b/g, supporting 5GHz/2.4GHz. In the 5GHz band (IEEE802.11n/a), it can select from 19 channels (W52/W53/W56), while in the 2.4GHz band, IEEE802.11n/g can select from channels 1 to 13, and 11b from channels 1 to 14, allowing for flexible wireless network design considering radio interference. It also supports dual-channel (using 40MHz width) of the IEEE802.11n standard. - Equipped with proprietary encryption technology WSL that can be used in conjunction with WPA2/WPA and WEP. In addition to advanced security standards WPA2/WPA and IEEE802.1X authentication, it features proprietary encryption technology WSL that can be used alongside these. It also supports MAC address filtering and ESSID hiding. - Includes a variety of features such as VLAN and virtual AP functionality. It has VLAN functionality for building virtual networks and virtual AP functionality that allows a single AP to operate as multiple virtual APs with different security settings. Additionally, it can store a large event log (approximately 15,000 entries, seven times that of conventional products).

The first CC-Link IE TSN recommended wireless device testing for wireless equipment, obtaining wireless certification Class A category CTRL certification, promotes the use of wireless LAN in the field of factory automation.
In production sites, the introduction of Wi-Fi wireless LAN, which is widely adopted in IT systems as an alternative to laying communication cables in factory systems, has begun. However, Wi-Fi wireless LAN experiences jitter (variations in communication delay) due to congestion and interference in the radio frequency band, making its implementation in control layers with strict constraints on jitter difficult. Contec has utilized its unique tuning technology to achieve low-latency, low-jitter communication with its commercial wireless LAN products "FLEXLAN(R) FX5000 / FX3000 series." It has obtained Class A wireless certification as the first wireless device in the "Category CTRL," which is intended for control communication of CC-Link IE TSN, an industrial network expected to seamlessly connect the entire factory system. This certification is the first to pass the CC-Link IE TSN recommended wireless device test for wireless devices in the Class A Category CTRL.

Embedded wireless LAN board "FXE4000" - Started providing firmware that supports the robust wireless LAN security standard "WPA3".
Contec has announced the start of providing WPA3-compatible firmware for its embedded wireless LAN board "FXE4000." WPA3 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 3) is a security standard announced by the Wi-Fi Alliance that offers more robust authentication and enhanced encryption compared to the increasingly popular WPA2. There are modes for both WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise, and the firmware being provided supports both modes. With the application of this firmware, the FXE4000 will become compatible with WPA3 in addition to WPA2/WPA, IEEE802.1X authentication, and the proprietary encryption technology WSL that can be used in conjunction with these. This will further enhance the security of wireless systems. Additionally, the firmware has measures in place against the vulnerability commonly referred to as "Dragonblood" in WPA3-Personal, so you can use it with confidence.
