We are pleased to announce that KTR Japan will celebrate its 40th anniversary in June 2022. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support we have received from all parties involved. The KTR Group took a significant step towards international expansion by establishing subsidiaries outside of Germany in 1982. The countries chosen at that time were Switzerland and Japan. The nylon resin and rubber couplings developed by our group were innovative and still quite rare at that time. Over the past 40 years, thanks to your patronage, our products have become widely recognized and have grown to be considered a standard in the field of couplings. Kobe, where KTR Japan is located, has deepened its relationships with various countries as the gateway to Western culture since its port was opened by the Edo Shogunate. We wish to deliver reliable technology and products, bridging the gap from Germany to Kobe and from Kobe to customers throughout Japan. This desire continues to flow at the core of our company. The world is currently undergoing a major transformation, but we are committed to continuing our efforts to ensure your satisfaction. We sincerely ask for your continued guidance and support for our company in the future.

Thank you for your continued support. We are KTR, a comprehensive manufacturer of couplings. **Introduction of Non-Heating Magnetic Couplings** Magnetic couplings used in seal-less devices. They are convenient components that replace mechanical seals and gland packing, but we believe there are manufacturers and users who are troubled by the heat generated by their magnetic force. For such customers, we would like to introduce a non-heating magnetic coupling that uses a non-metallic shroud (partition component). By using non-metallic PEEK resin or ceramic for the shroud material of our magnetic coupling (product name MINEX-S), we can prevent heat generation. Since PEEK resin and ceramic are insulators, they do not interfere with the magnetic field created by the magnets, and eddy currents do not occur. Therefore, there is no heat generated due to eddy currents. We have summarized the materials and the presence or absence of heat generation in the attached document. For more detailed information, please contact KTR Japan Co., Ltd. We look forward to hearing from you.

We would like to introduce the features of the hydraulic component "Bell Housing," proposed by KTR, which has a particular strength in couplings for hydraulic systems. As shown in the photo, this product is installed between the hydraulic pump and the motor. 1. Achieves alignment simply by fitting into the inlay. Compared to the common base method, it significantly reduces installation work! 2. It also serves as a casing that covers the rotating parts, enhancing safety! 3. By combining with our rubber components such as damping rings, it is also possible to address vibration and noise issues! 4. Selection is very easy! If you know the pump model and motor frame number, we can propose the coupling as well. For more details, please visit our selection website or contact us directly! https://otools.ktr.com/pumpselect/

Our company KTR, a German manufacturer of air-cooled heat exchangers, supports cooling for various media including: - Oil - Water - Air Even for projects with an annual order forecast of less than 30 units, we can provide custom-made, low-cost products, and we are gradually starting to receive recognition from our customers in Japan. At the end of last year, we were featured in the heat exchanger special of Ipros Monozukuri, and we would like to recommend our products. Please feel free to download our catalog and case studies.

The KTR Group exhibited at SPS (Smart Production Solutions) held in Nuremberg, Germany from November 26 to 28, 2019. We showcased torque measuring devices and couplings (leaf spring type, jaw type), and many people from around the world visited our booth.

In January, we will start publishing in the "Mechanical Element Technology Special Feature" held on Ipros Monozukuri. By simply answering a short questionnaire, you can download the newly renewed catalog and case studies. If you have any interest, please take a look!! We are featuring our main product, the jaw-type coupling ROTEX, along with special products such as magnetic couplings.

In December, we will begin publishing a "Heat Exchanger Special" in the Ipros Manufacturing magazine. By simply answering a brief questionnaire, you can download the newly renewed catalog and case studies. If you have any interest at all, please take a look!

With the release of the new catalog for the air-cooled heat exchanger type MMC/OAC, we are creating a "case study collection" to make it easier for customers to visualize! We are introducing the features of KTR's heat exchangers, so please consider how they can be applied to your company's applications.

The KTR air-cooled heat exchangers, which are increasingly being adopted by our Japanese customers... We have created a new catalog! Please be sure to download it. Additionally, it will also be featured in the "Heat Exchanger Special" of the Ipros manufacturing industry publication after December 2nd, so please take a look.

KTR's strength lies in its ability to provide custom-designed products and small lots at a low cost. We can accommodate media such as oil, water, and air. If you have any concerns, such as wanting to reduce the space required for machinery or finding it difficult to use standard products from other companies, please feel free to reach out to us.

We have numerous achievements in Japan, particularly in the positioning devices of the machinery industry. ☆Three Key Points to Note about ROTEX GS Compact☆ 【1】Overwhelming reduction in axial dimensions! Depending on the frame number, the axial dimension is reduced by approximately 30% (compared to our standard products). It is ideal for compacting positioning devices and servo-driven devices. Example) Size 24 standard ROTEX GS total length 78mm vs. GS compact total length 54mm 【2】Increase in allowable rotational speed For size 24 (rated torque 60Nm) and above, an axial slot hub is adopted. While there is a disadvantage of needing to tighten bolts in two places, it has good balance in the direction of rotation and is suitable for high-speed rotation. 【3】Allowable torque and allowable eccentricity remain unchanged! Since the contact area with the shaft is reduced, some consideration for slip torque is necessary when not providing a keyway, but the core specifications of the coupling, namely allowable torque and allowable eccentricity, remain unchanged. If you would like a quote for reference, wish to have a meeting, or want to conduct tests, please feel free to contact us with your requests.

When it comes to KTR's representative lineup, the flexible jaw type coupling ROTEX stands out. The selection process is not particularly difficult, but there are safety factors to consider. It is necessary to select a coupling that meets the requirement of motor rated torque * safety factor ≦ coupling allowable torque. This time, I will introduce three points! 1. Ambient temperature ⇒ It is a fact that the heat resistance is lower compared to couplings made of metal, such as gear couplings and disc spring couplings (up to 120°C). The polyurethane spider responsible for power transmission loses its transmission capability as the temperature rises, so a larger safety factor is required. 2. Start-stop and forward-reverse rotation frequency coefficient ⇒ During starting, stopping, and forward-reverse rotation, a large torque is applied to the spider, causing significant deformation of the resin internally. If overload exceeds the allowable value without considering this, it may lead to deformation of the spider, which means damage to the coupling. 3. Load coefficient and application factor ⇒ KTR products are used in various industries, and based on that experience, we establish safety factors for each application. For more details, please refer to the catalog.

This time, we are introducing the ROTEX GS compact. The servo coupling ROTEX GS is well-loved by many companies not only in Europe but also in the Japanese market. To cater to customers who want to save space, KTR has released the ROTEX GS compact!! For example, the axial length of GS 24 compared to GS 24 compact is reduced by an impressive 30%☆ This product is well-received in the machine tool industry and applications such as ball screws for positioning devices. Please feel free to contact us.
