At the 2012 International Welding Show held at Intex Osaka from April 11, we will showcase the latest welding technology using KUKA's robot KR60HA (60kg payload/high trajectory accuracy specification) at Aichi Sangyo (booth number: 3-31) and Maeda Kogyo Co., Ltd. (booth number: 4-27). Aichi Sangyo will present laser hybrid welding technology, while Maeda Kogyo will showcase solutions for laser processing. Maeda Industries, equipped with the latest laser processing equipment and technology, has been utilizing the KUKA robot KR60HA (60kg payload/high trajectory accuracy specification) for contract processing, development, and consulting in laser welding and cutting for the past three years. With the recent increase in laser demand, they have been responding to every need with their proven track record and expertise. Aichi Industries will showcase a welding method that combines the cutting-edge technologies of laser and MIG/MAG welding, maximizing the advantages of both welding methods. This method, known as Laser Hybrid Welding, features high speed, deep penetration, low distortion, and gap tolerance. Additionally, they will present a system called Laser Metal Deposition (LMD), which enables the precise buildup of various materials by melting powders with a laser.
