■We want to create a mechanism that does not generate dust in the clean room.■ We received a request from Company M, a manufacturer engaged in pharmaceutical research and development, stating, "Regarding the research centrifuge to be installed in the clean room, we would like to eliminate mechanisms that could potentially generate dust in order to prevent foreign matter contamination." In response, we proposed the KMβ, a "direct drive type" with the motor positioned directly below the main shaft, instead of the usual V-belt drive system. ■Results after implementation■ Since there is no V-belt for driving, dust generation due to sliding has been eliminated, allowing us to keep the work area clean. Additionally, it eliminates the hassle of belt adjustments and potential issues such as belt breakage due to long-term use. 2: It can reduce the horizontal installation area. There is no need to install the motor base next to the centrifuge. Even in limited spaces, it is possible to keep the installation area compact. In addition to the top discharge type KMβ, there are also examples of direct connection types under the motor for the bottom discharge type DMNβ. While there is also the MARKIIIβ, which is a bottom discharge type with a direct connection above the motor, the DMNβ features a casing that can be opened, making it easier to check the cleaning of the basket. Therefore, we recommend this model when handling a large number of items.
