[Case Study] We want to make maintenance and daily operations easier.

I want to update to an inverter-driven centrifuge to make it easier to perform various settings, maintenance, and daily operations without changing the production schedule.

From Food Manufacturer A, we received a request stating, "We would like to update to inverter-driven systems to make various settings, maintenance, and daily operations easier. However, we want to operate the inverter-driven machines on the same schedule as before." In response, we conducted a hearing on the operating conditions of the customer's machines and proposed a specification equipped with a one-motion type scraping device after discussions. We delivered this solution. As a result of using our centrifuge, the operating conditions remained almost unchanged, and various settings, maintenance, and daily operations became easier. 【POINT】Reduction in scraping process time By equipping the centrifuge with a one-motion type scraping device, the time for the scraping process was shortened, allowing production on the desired operating cycle. Our inverter-driven scraping devices come in the following two types: - A two-motion type that performs a turning motion and a vertical motion after the small blade engages. - A one-motion type that performs only a turning motion to scrape off the cake with a large blade in one go. *For more details, please refer to "Basic Information."

In this case, the customer had two major requests: 1. They want to update to inverter drive to make various settings, maintenance, and daily operations easier to perform. 2. They want to operate the inverter-driven machines on the same schedule as before. As a benefit of inverter drive, compared to hydraulic drive, various settings, maintenance, and daily operability become easier to handle, so it seems that we can meet the customer's first request. However, as a disadvantage, inverter drive takes longer for starting and stopping compared to hydraulic drive, resulting in an additional 5 minutes per batch compared to previous operations. Due to the short time per batch for products with good filtration, an additional 5 minutes per batch is expected to extend the operating time by about 1 to 2 hours in a day. To resolve this, we proposed changing the scraping device from the existing two-motion type to a one-motion type.
