Water-based paint additive (rheological) 'Natrosol (HMHEC)'
It is Ashland's hydrophobic hydroxyethyl cellulose (water-soluble polymer). It improves the rheological properties of water-based paints and enhances splash resistance.
Our company handles cellulose products manufactured by Ashland in the United States, and we leverage our extensive product knowledge and expertise to support our customers in improving manufacturing efficiency and quality. 'Natrosol (HMHEC)' is a water-soluble polymer that has been hydrophobically modified by attaching long-chain alkyl groups to Ashland's hydroxyethyl cellulose. Due to the aggregation of the hydrophobic groups, it exhibits stronger thixotropic properties than regular HEC. There are three grades available based on viscosity differences. In paint applications, it can improve rheological properties, provide excellent splash resistance, and enhance leveling. 【Products】 ■ Natrosol Plus 330 (low viscosity) ■ Natrosol HE3KB (medium viscosity) ■ Natrosol HE10K (high viscosity) 【Key Properties】 ■ Improved rheological properties ■ Excellent splash resistance ■ Leveling properties ■ Thickening agent
