Proposing fine particle and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene for the modification of the sliding properties of rubber coating films.

We propose the use of fine particles and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as additives for rubber coatings in automotive rubber parts, cameras, and office automation equipment to improve lubricity and enhance durability.

High-slip paint is used in sliding parts of automobiles, cameras, and office automation equipment, and recently, interest has been increasing due to the growing demand for noise reduction. This product can lower the friction coefficient of the paint film surface and improve the durability of the paint film by adding it as a sliding modifier to the paint. Additionally, it can achieve a matte finish and modify tactile properties. It is adopted in many substrates such as urethane-based, acrylic-based, and epoxy-based, and can be used not only in solvent-based paints but also in water-based paints with just a small amount of dispersant. Powder coating can also be selected as a painting method. Conventional ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) has a large particle size of over 100μ, making it unsuitable for use as an additive. However, this product can reduce the particle size to a minimum of 10μ, allowing the high sliding properties and durability of UHMWPE to be imparted to the paint. 【Expected Functions】 - Sliding properties - Quietness (noise reduction) - Wear resistance and durability (alternative to PTFE) - Matte finish effect - Suitable for food-related use (compliant with FDA standards and Polyethylene Association standards) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

basic information

**Features** - **Microparticles of Ultra High Molecular Weight PE that can be modified for sliding** With an average particle size in the world’s smallest class of 10μ to 60μ, it achieves a reduction in the coefficient of friction (COF) on the coating surface and improves durability. - **Matte finish and design properties can be added** By adding this product, it is possible to achieve a matte finish on the coating surface and impart design properties. - **Wide range of applications** It is widely adopted for rubber paints, plastic paints, and metal paints. In particular, it has a proven track record in sliding modification paints for rubber parts around automobiles. - **Applicable for food use** Being ultra high molecular weight PE, it meets the standards of the FDA and the Hygiene Council for polyolefins, making it suitable for food contact applications. - **Can be a substitute for PTFE** Although polyethylene is not suitable for high-temperature applications, it boasts higher wear resistance than PTFE in temperature ranges other than high temperatures, making it a viable alternative to PTFE. - **Can also be used in water-based paints** By using a small amount of dispersant, it can be used not only in solvent-based paints but also in water-based paints. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
