A sensor that can be retrofitted to overhead cranes to avoid collisions between transported items.
A laser distance sensor was retrofitted to the existing overhead crane to measure position information, enabling control to avoid collisions between transported items through coordinate management.
When transporting heavy objects using a crane while a person holds the switch, there is a high possibility of collisions occurring between the transported items, as well as between the transported items and the equipment or people in the factory, which can lead to losses. Therefore, by retrofitting existing cranes with laser distance sensors, the position of the transported items can be managed in coordinates, significantly reducing the risk of collisions and contact. It operates at temperatures as low as -40°C, making it suitable for use in cold storage facilities. With a measurement accuracy of 1mm, a measurement repeatability of 0.3mm, and a measurement speed of 250Hz (maximum), positioning accuracy can be ensured. Our company provides comprehensive technical support, including usage instructions, implementation, control software development, and post-installation support.
