A high-precision 2D laser scanner capable of measuring in horizontal and vertical directions enables measurements of displacement, strain, subsidence, and erosion that have not been possible until now.
By applying angle control to a high-precision laser distance sensor, it has become possible to measure and display X/Y coordinates. Achieving the accuracy that was previously insufficient for three-dimensional measurements is now feasible.
