Measurement of the inner diameter, irregularities, and distortions of large-diameter pipes and tubes can be performed quickly using a 2D laser scanner.
By applying angle control to a high-precision laser distance sensor, it has become possible to measure and display X/Y coordinates. Achieving the precision that was insufficient in three-dimensional measurements is now feasible.
