The semi-gloss nickel plating additive Mark 80 'M-801/802' does not produce harmful decomposition products, so there is no need for activated carbon treatment to remove decomposition products. It provides good leveling, low hardness, and low stress, resulting in a flexible deposit, making it suitable as the bottom layer of semi-gloss plating in multi-layer nickel plating.
