The "2021 Environmental and Social Report" of Nippon Emulsifier Co., Ltd. has been published on the official website. ■ Responsible Care (RC) Activities Responsible Care (RC) refers to the voluntary activities that ensure "safety, health, and the environment" throughout all processes from the development of chemical substances to manufacturing, logistics, final consumption, and ultimately disposal and recycling. As a chemical manufacturer, our company positions RC as an important activity and has been engaged in it since 2009 under the RC basic policy. We have established an RC Promotion Committee chaired by the president, and under this committee, we have set up RC committees at the Kawasaki plant and Kashima factory to define key issues and promote activities. Our company has been working to enhance the level of RC activities through mutual exchange with the Japan Catalyst Group. Since the fiscal year 2014, environmental safety audits of the Japan Catalyst Group companies have been conducted, further strengthening the management systems in safety and disaster prevention, as well as occupational health and safety.
