This flow meter is a clamp-on type ultrasonic flow meter that can measure the fluid flow from the outside of the piping. By installing detectors upstream and downstream of the flow, this flow meter adapt propagation time difference method, which calculates flow velocity based on the time difference of ultrasonic waves transmitted in both the forward and reverse directions from each detector, and then converts this into flow rate. Since measurements are taken from outside the piping, it is not affected by the properties of the liquid. 【Features Details】 ■ Low-cost measurement of high-temperature liquids (measurable temperature: -30 to 160°C) By using a highly heat-resistant detector, it is now possible to measure high-temperature liquids up to 160°C. The converter is equipped with standard setting data for high-temperature water in its internal memory, allowing for easy setup as before. Additionally, since it is clamp-on, there is no need for construction work on high-temperature liquid pipes, significantly reducing construction costs and achieving excellent cost performance, especially in measurements on large-diameter lines. ■ Wide adaptability to measurement environments This flow meter consists of a detector and converter as a pair, and can adapt to various measurement scenarios as either a permanent or inspection unit depending on the combination of converters. Furthermore, since measurements are taken from the outside of existing piping, it is not affected by the corrosiveness, pressure, or conductivity of the liquid, and can measure any liquid that allows ultrasonic transmission. ■ Adoption of heat-resistant magnet-embedded rails The detector employs a rail mount shape where the sensor and rail are integrated, eliminating the hassle of sensor alignment work. By using a unique heat-resistant magnet-embedded structure at the ends of the rail, there is no need for belt tightening work when measuring magnetic piping such as iron pipes, thereby reducing the burden on workers in harsh high-temperature environments.
