The prices of consumables, including grinding wheels, remain unstable, and the costs of materials such as carbide tips and silver solder continue to rise abnormally. Therefore, it is with great reluctance that we request a revision of the prices for our products (tipped saws) as outlined below. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Implementation Date: From orders placed on April 1, 2026 Price Increase Rate for Tipped Saws: Products using carbide tips: 10% or more Products using cermet tips: 10% [Confirmation Items] Please note that for products ordered by the end of March, there may be cases where the delivery time is longer than usual depending on the order status. Thank you for your understanding.

We are pleased to announce that Okumura Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has started publishing materials on a slip detection sensor system for automatic feeding and sizing devices. In gripping devices such as sizing machines, if the object being gripped slips during transport, it can lead to a decrease in cutting accuracy and handling performance, resulting in defective products and troubles. Therefore, we have jointly developed a sensor system with the Kagawa Prefectural Industrial Technology Center to detect slipping of the gripped object with high precision. This sensor features a unique structure that combines a parallel spring and a detection element, allowing it to detect and measure slipping within the gripping surface of the chuck, regardless of the shape or size of the gripped object. Additionally, by using two types of detection elements—a strain gauge and a piezoelectric film—we have enabled it to respond to both static and dynamic slipping. It can detect slips of workpieces on the order of 0.1 mm and employs the technology from our pending patent, Application No. 2022-92993.
