Conductive film for biosensing electrodes — SilkyLink MFX-1100 (Ag/AgCl coated)
Cut. Stick. Measure. ECG, EMG, EEG — all from a single film.
SilkyLink MFX-1100 is a thin, flexible electrode material with a silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) electrode layer formed on a conductive polyurethane film. Because it can be cut or die-punched to the required shape, you can proceed with prototyping and product development without building your own electrode-forming process such as paste mixing, printing and drying. Whereas a silver/silver chloride paste (Peltron K-398X) lets you 'print your own' electrodes freely, SilkyLink comes with the functional layer already formed, so it is 'ready to use as is.' It can be handled at low temperature and covers a wide range of uses, from ECG, EMG and EEG to defibrillation pads.
basic information
[Do you have these needs?] • Challenges with the supply stability, quality or cost of your current electrode film • You want to develop electrodes that follow body movement • You want electrodes that can stay attached during X-ray examination • You want to easily make electrodes by cutting them to the required size and shape [Features of this film] • Low skin-electrode impedance, maintained even after long-term use • No metal foil as the main substrate, so X-ray imaging is possible while attached (internal evaluation) • High adhesion of the silver/silver chloride coating, with a structure resistant to peeling • Polyurethane substrate: highly flexible and follows body movement Typical specifications: substrate polyurethane / total thickness approx. 103 µm / Ag/AgCl electrode layer approx. 3 µm / sheet resistance approx. 0.8 Ω/sq • Values are typical. Formal specifications, measurement methods and guaranteed ranges are provided in individual technical documents.

Since our establishment in 1970, we have consistently built our products based on the technology and know-how we have cultivated as a resin formulator, while carefully responding to our customers' needs. We offer a lineup that includes not only epoxy products (liquid and powder) but also insulating materials based on urethane and silicone, as well as coating materials and conductive paste materials. Our applications range widely, primarily focusing on electronic components, but also including automotive parts, industrial equipment parts, sports goods, and everyday items. We deliver our products not only within Japan but also to Europe, China, Southeast Asia, and around the world.
