We will introduce a case where product specifications and manufacturing specifications were applied for semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, as well as for material and process industries. In this case, the design/development department managed specification documents individually, leading to a lack of information sharing. This resulted in various issues across departments, such as missed cost benefits from centralized purchasing, poor delivery management, and trouble management.
