Completion of the wireless hydrogen sensor network demonstration.
The realization of odorless hydrogen supply through pipelines, assuming large-scale hydrogen transport in the future, requires leakage hydrogen detection as a substitute for odor detection. Therefore, our company has been developing a multi-point leakage hydrogen monitoring network system in collaboration with Iwatani Corporation, utilizing the Kitakyushu City Environmental Future Technology Development Grant, and has completed a three-year demonstration starting from the fiscal year 2019. In the development for fiscal year 2021, we conducted demonstrations at the 'Hydrogen Pipeline Leakage Simulation Evaluation Facility' established at the Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center, focusing on response tests of wireless hydrogen sensors and hydrogen selectivity evaluations in mixed gas environments. We also verified the appropriate pitch between handholes while varying the conditions of sensor response time and distance from the hydrogen leakage point. By continuously disseminating reliable evidence obtained from this research and development from Kitakyushu City, we believe it will contribute to the early utilization of odorless hydrogen and the establishment of a hydrogen supply chain.

Published in the September issue of Japan Industrial Publishing's "Measurement Technology."
[Article Publication] Development of a Multi-Point Hydrogen Leak Monitoring Network The overall theme of the magazine is "Decarbonization." Currently, we are conducting a demonstration of buried hydrogen pipelines in the final year, but we must advocate for a safe and secure system that replaces the odor associated with hydrogen. If we don't, we risk becoming isolated like the Galapagos and losing in international competition, which I felt compelled to write about with a sense of responsibility.

Kyushu Measuring Instruments - Relocation of Nagasaki Branch Office
Our Nagasaki staff seems to have chosen to relocate for further advancement. After ten years of hard work since the launch in the town of faith, Urakami, I feel a bit sad that the best fried chicken shop in Kyushu will be farther away due to this move. http://www.saisakiya.com/shop/tsukimachi/#menu The new location is near Nagasaki University. → To our partner companies, please continue to support them.

Wireless Temperature Measurement System "MieruTIME 4D"
We developed a wireless measurement system that synchronously measures spatial temperature at multiple points in collaboration with Chubu Electric Power Co., Ltd., expressing it in 4D (XYZ axes + time axis). Kyushu Measuring Instruments' "Spatial Visualization System" is a "multi-point synchronous measurement system" widely adopted in environmental testing rooms and comfort testing rooms of air conditioning manufacturers. By adding the development concept of "mobility" to this system, we have successfully developed a wireless measurement system in collaboration with Chubu Electric Power. For visualizing indoor environments, such as "temperature unevenness due to heat discharge from equipment" and "heat accumulation" in factories and restaurants, real-time measurement in actual environments and reliability through synchronous measurement are required. This system has achieved time savings in "measurement preparation (installation/removal)," which was a problem in actual measurements, and the measurement data obtained by this system is optimal for analysis and analytical data for "energy solution services." Since December 1, 2017, Chubu Electric Power has started a measurement service using this system as part of its "service to provide optimal utilization of energy." Orders will begin in February 2018, with a sales target of 30 units per year.
