Insulated bolt and nut
In addition to electrical insulation, it is effective in situations where measures such as thermal insulation, chemical resistance (rust prevention), corrosion resistance, electrical erosion resistance, and magnetic resistance are difficult to achieve with metal bolts and nuts.
These are custom-made bolts and nuts designed and manufactured according to your requests. We offer types processed from "laminated rods" with a standard diameter of up to 20mmφ and types processed from "laminated pipes" that can standardly accommodate sizes from M10 to M100. We may also be able to accommodate special sizes, so please feel free to consult with us.
basic information
These are bolts and nuts made from fiber-reinforced plastic by machining thermosetting resin laminated pipes and rods. The materials used for processing the bolts and nuts include types reinforced with epoxy resin and glass cloth, types reinforced with phenolic resin and paper or fabric, and a unique insulated reinforced wood called "Wood Light" developed by Rishou Industry. Furthermore, for cases requiring higher insulation or strength, there is a premium insulating material called "Coroneless," which has an insulation performance of over 20,000 volts per 1.0 mm (interlayer breakdown voltage according to JIS K 6911).

Applications that cannot be addressed with metal bolts and nuts include areas requiring electrical insulation, areas needing corrosion protection for underground use, areas requiring chemical resistance such as rust prevention, areas needing thermal insulation, and areas requiring magnetization countermeasures. Glass epoxy bolts and nuts This is a type that processes laminated rods made of glass epoxy. Standard bolt diameters: 12mmφ / 16mmφ / 20mmφ. Standard bolt lengths: up to 1150mm.

Large-diameter bolts and nuts The type of bolts and nuts used for processing laminated pipes can accommodate large diameters. The left in the photo is an M100, and the right is an M75 bolt and nut. The standard range is from M10 to M100, but we also accept inquiries for larger products. Please feel free to contact us.

Condition of the load-bearing test The photo shows the M100 bolt and nut being subjected to a vertical load. The testing machine is the Shimadzu universal testing machine model REH-100. Even with a load of 1000 kilonewtons, neither the bolt nor the nut experienced thread failure, and the nut could be removed from the bolt without any stress.

The laminated rod is made using mold forming, so there are limits on the maximum diameter and maximum length. The standard diameters are 12mmφ/16mmφ/20mmφ. The standard length is up to 1150mm.

It is made by winding the base material around a steel core, allowing for the production of long and large-diameter products by varying the length of the steel core and the number of windings. Depending on the order details, we manufacture laminated pipes with optimal outer diameter, inner diameter, wall thickness, and length, and then process them into bolts by cutting threads.
