Phenolic resin laminated boards are plastic sheets manufactured and sold by Rishou Industry for over 80 years. They are resin boards reinforced with fibrous substrates such as paper and cloth, based on thermosetting phenolic resin, which provides excellent mechanical strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. By adding machining processes, parts of various shapes can be obtained, and they have a proven track record in various fields, including electrical insulation applications. Recently, a type with "static electricity dissipation" has been added to the lineup of phenolic resin laminated boards: PS-1571 (paper substrate) and PS-2751 (cloth substrate). Many resin materials with static electricity dissipation are based on "thermoplastic resins," but PS-1571/PS-2571 are based on "thermosetting resins," which excel in strength, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. Furthermore, the static electricity dissipation provided to PS-1571/PS-2571 is exhibited on any machined surface, and this effect is permanent, so we expect it to contribute to various fields where static electricity measures are necessary.
