Glass fabric-based epoxy resin laminated sheets are made by creating a substrate (called prepreg) that is impregnated with epoxy resin and then layering a specified number of these sheets, which are pressed at high temperature and high pressure to produce GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic). Despite being a plastic, it possesses strength that can replace metals in certain applications, and it also exhibits excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance, thereby balancing the necessary characteristics for industrial applications. It is machined into various shaped parts and is applied in areas where metals would be unsuitable, such as where electrical insulation, rust prevention, corrosion (electrolytic corrosion) prevention, or magnetization prevention is required.
