Once upon a time, there was a comedy routine that asked, "Where do you bring in the subway trains?" However, there are often cases where the delivery route is blocked when adding or replacing transformers in the electrical room. When the electrical room is underground, issues such as weight limits on the delivery elevator can also arise. In such cases, Rishou Kogyo can respond by delivering the transformer in parts, such as the "core" and "coil," and then assembling it on-site. This is made possible by the Rishoucast transformer, which features a robust molded coil reinforced with fiberglass instead of using insulating oil. Here is one example of this.

The on-site assembly of transformers varies depending on the conditions specific to each customer, such as the workspace in the electrical room and the width and height of the route for transportation. At Rishou Industry, we have a track record of responding to such needs with special designs that adjust the size of the transformer to fit the transportation route and installation location, and further assemble it efficiently on-site after transporting parts like the core and coils. In the case presented in this article, we also faced the issue of weight restrictions for the materials transport elevator. When assembled, the core exceeded the weight limit. Therefore, we transported the parts that make up the core (electrical steel sheets) and then assembled the core on-site.

Molded coils delivered as parts. They are sturdy coils insulated with glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin.

Electromagnetic steel sheets that make up the iron core. Considering the weight limit of the elevator, these were delivered in several batches.

The iron core was assembled on-site. Since the finished product weighs about 2 tons, it exceeds the elevator's weight limit. Therefore, several hundred sheets of electrical steel were brought in in several batches, and then assembled on-site into the "stacked iron core."
