Introduction to Ultrasonic Bolt Tension Direct Bolt Tightening Device

We have developed a direct axial force tightening device that integrates an ultrasonic bolt axial force gauge and a bolt tightening device, and we would like to introduce it. (Direct Bolt Axial Force Tightening System) During bolt fastening, the axial force applied to the bolt is measured from seating to tightening using our uniquely developed ultrasonic sensor and axial force measurement unit. The axial force is converted from the ultrasonic propagation time, and fastening is performed at the set axial force value. This technology is expected to be utilized as a means to suppress variations in bolt fastening axial force and achieve stabilization. We will soon release a video of the tightening measurement. *The system introduced here is a development technology by Honda R&D, Saga Iron Works, and Mitsubishi Electric Shonan Electronics.
