The SSCB is a clamp system that integrates a suction pad and positioning pin. It reduces the issues of wobbling and positional variation that occurred when using only the pad for suction. It is also possible to transfer the pin position based on the workpiece itself or to set the pin position using 3D data and the robot's movements. Conveying hands and clamp jigs that were previously custom-made using mechanical clamps, reference pins, and guides can be simplified and made more versatile by using the SSCB. The suction pad uses a Barlocan pad that excels in abrasion and tear resistance, making it durable and less likely to tear even when coming into contact with sharp edges of metal sheets.
