Launch of explosion-proof LED lighting fixtures (LZBA series)

News Release Seiwa Electric Co., Ltd. has enhanced its lineup of LED lighting fixtures (Star Reds series) to meet diverse needs in response to the introduction of energy-saving equipment in each factory and initiatives for the environment (Minamata Convention). We are pleased to announce the addition of the "LZBA series," explosion-proof LED lighting fixtures that can be used in explosive hazardous areas ZONE 1 and ZONE 2, equivalent to fluorescent lamps (FHF32W high-output type for 1 lamp, for 2 lamps, and FHF16W high-output type for 1 lamp) to our lineup, with orders starting from March 23, 2016. We have completely reviewed the LED module and housing from the conventional design, achieving a lightweight and compact form (our conventional explosion-proof fluorescent fixture: FHF32W high-output type for 2 lamps weighs 15.0 kg, reduced to 11.0 kg, approximately 27% lighter; FHF32W high-output type for 1 lamp weighs 12.0 kg, reduced to 9.5 kg, approximately 21% lighter). Additionally, compared to our conventional explosion-proof fluorescent fixture (FHF32W high-output type for 2 lamps), we have achieved a reduction in power consumption from 91W to 40.5W, approximately 55% less, and further contributed to improving the working environment through glare reduction and high color rendering (Ra83).
