SHIMA SEIKI's P-CAM120C/160C/180C NC cutting machines (computerized cutting machines) are suitable for cutting CFRP and GFRP prepregs in sheet form. The cutting method can be selected from reciprocating knife, drag knife and ultrasonic cutter. The machine can also cut heat-fused materials, such as rubber, leather, flexible container bags, tent materials, fiberglass, rain gear, leather shoes, and sporting goods up to 20 mm thickness. Knife life is extended by motor-controlled height and depth adjustment. In addition, the machine is oil and dust resistant, and is equipped with state-of-the-art functions such as automatic cutter cleaning, double cut prevention, and a dedicated cutting brush. The cutting length can be as short as 880 mm for any cutting width, and the cutting area can be customized by extending the length according to the cutting application. Optional barcode input is available for reading cutting data, eliminating input errors and improving work efficiency. The machine can be delivered in sections for easy delivery and installation. In combination with the SDS-ONE APEX series CAD systems, integrated production systems for various industries such as automobiles, aircraft, and industrial materials are possible.

• High-precision cutting head By cutting with CAD data, complex shapes can be cut without the need for dies used in die-cutting. Furthermore, improved knife sharpening achieves higher precision in cutting. • Head height control Fabric thickness is detected automatically upon suction, maintaining optimum head height for improved cutting accuracy and efficiency. • Double-cut prevention function When cutting two adjacent parts that share a common pattern line, the line can be cut with a single cut for higher productivity. This process can be automated to reduce data editing time as well. • Safety devices Safety devices such as stop switches on all four corners, a safety bar on the Y-beam, and pause function are standard, allowing safe operation. • Projector (optional) This device projects the pattern layout of cutting data onto the fabric . This allows the user to check the distortion of the fabric. It also enables pattern rearrangement especially for avoiding blemishes when cutting genuine leather. • Barcode support (optional) When filenames are bar-coded, cutting data selection, which is conventionally done manually, can be instantly read.
