An article presenting the results of joint research with Kinki University was published in the April 2024 issue of "Monthly Tribology."
We are conducting joint research with Kinki University on "static pressure gas bearings (non-contact bearings)" that use "air" as a lubricating fluid, which can be used even in clean environments compared to oil. Static pressure gas bearings can support rotating shafts non-contact by supplying compressed air from the outside, thereby reducing the generation of wear particles from manufacturing machinery's rotating shafts and bearings. In this study, we developed a method to analyze flow rates and the restoring force of the shaft through CAE analysis by rotating the shaft using two types of bearings: axial type (jointly developed / made of resin) and circumferential type (conventional) slot throttling static pressure gas bearings. The developed CAE analysis method enables a significant reduction in the number of experiments needed to understand the phenomena of static pressure gas bearings during shaft rotation. We aim to apply the results of this research to the practical design of static pressure gas bearings, contributing to the enhancement of cleanliness and longevity of manufacturing machinery, such as food production lines, thereby reducing maintenance burdens.

We made our first exhibition by equipping a resin reducer on a collaborative robot at "Japan Robot Week 2022."
A trade show specializing in the introduction of robots, including service robots, collaborative robots, and system integrators, was held at "Japan Robot Week 2022," where we showcased our original material "S-Bear" with the resin reduction gear "S-Bear DD4830" for the first time. With the cooperation of Keigan Co., Ltd., we mounted the S-Bear DD4830 on a collaborative robot for the first time, attracting numerous visitors from major manufacturers to venture companies. ◆ What is the resin reduction gear "S-Bear DD4830"? - Compact and flat design that provides high torque - Smooth rotation without lubrication - Lighter than metal reduction gears, both in terms of the product itself and back-drive torque - Usable underwater - Can estimate joint torque and end-effector force from motor power even in underwater environments ◆ Excerpts from visitor feedback - The lightweight design of the reduction gear positively impacts the robot's payload capacity - The ability to use it in harsh environments like underwater can lead to business opportunities We will continue to explore new applications and work on improving the performance of our reduction gears. For more information about the resin reduction gear "S-Bear DD4830" and "S-Bear," please download from the related catalog.

A new product introduction article has been published in the Cement Newspaper. Reducing material adhesion to the inner walls of cement silos! Mitigating dangerous chipping work with 'ALPCOMBI-F'.
<Summary of the article> A non-stick plate called "ALPCOMBI-F" has been developed, which features a fluororesin sheet specially bonded to a metal plate. This contributes to reducing maintenance for powder silos, such as those used for cement. In cement factories and SSH silos, when cement adheres to the inlet, inner surface, or bottom, it is typically knocked off from the outside with a wooden mallet. However, during regular maintenance, dangerous tasks such as chiseling by hand become necessary. Since powder does not enter the back of the plate, there is no risk of it falling off. It lasts longer than coatings. Last year, two cement silos at the Denka Ome factory were ordered, and the construction was completed in July and August. *For more detailed information about the product, please download the catalog from the product page or feel free to contact us.
