FEP/PFA coated O-ring "O-Seal"

Excellent heat and cold resistance from -60 to 260℃. Strong against chemicals, preventing fluid contamination due to leaching. Complies with FDA standards.

"O-Seal" is an O-ring type sealing material that boasts excellent chemical and solvent resistance, as well as heat and cold resistance. It features a core material made of silicone rubber or fluororubber, coated with elastic fluororesins such as FEP or PFA, which also prevents leaching. Available in a wide range of sizes from 1.5 to 25.4 mm in diameter, it can be customized for both wire diameter and inner diameter. 【Features】 ■ Difficult to stick ■ Compliant with FDA standards ■ Compatible with standard O-ring sizes ■ Large sizes, such as 5 m inner diameter, can also be produced ■ A hollow core type with reduced clamping force is available *For more details, please refer to the materials available for download in PDF format. Teflon® Packing and Seal Teflon seals (packing and gaskets) refer to sealing components made primarily from fluororesin. Their performance is excellent in heat and cold resistance, and they are not affected by various fluids (liquids and gases), including general chemical agents and solvents, allowing them to be used under harsh conditions from vacuum to high pressure. Additionally, their non-stick and low-friction properties make them suitable for dynamic applications, and their ability to be used as seals for extended periods is one of their significant features. However, they are prone to wear and can easily deform (creep) under high temperature and high pressure, so it is common to fill them with materials such as fiberglass, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, and carbon fiber to mitigate these effects. In design, attention is needed regarding the structure of the device, surface treatment and hardening of sliding parts, and the structure and material selection of the seal (packing and gasket). Particularly, selecting seals requires extensive knowledge and experience. Please feel free to consult us when considering your options.
