The International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) is a project that operates scientific drilling vessels to investigate and study seafloor sediments, rocks, and the seafloor environment. Researchers from around the world collect samples suitable for their respective research purposes, conduct some initial analyses on board the vessel, and then return to land for detailed analysis. The focus of the research is the analysis of microbial enzyme hydrolysis. For this purpose, fluorescence measurements are conducted using the "Spark 10M Multi-Detection Mode Plate Reader."
